This shot was taken in October of 1999.
The garden is used for nature studies by Mrs. Law's
7th grade science classes. During the school year,
students choose a perennial plant to follow
throughout the seasons and record the changes
that they observe. Students seem to enjoy a chance
to go outside and, as a side benefit, learn about
weather, the metric system and the scientific
method in a real-life setting. It beats reading in
the classroom every time!
